Job summary

HM Dunn AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking an aircraft assembler to join our production team. You will assemble structural sections of aircraft using parts, subassemblies, and components, drill and fasten brackets, and trim parts for proper fit.

You will also use gauges and measuring tools to ensure accurate alignment and perform basic inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of related experience, and strong math, communication, and attention to

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read blueprints required.
Minimum 1 year related experience required.
Ability to apply basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplying, and dividing.
Ability to communicate verbally with management and co-workers.
Ability to safely use gauges, calipers, and other tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Assembles structural sections of aircraft using parts, subassemblies, and components by hand and with tools.
Drills holes and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips.
Cuts, trims, and files parts to the proper fit.
Locates and identifies reference points for installation of parts using jigs and measuring instruments.
Ensures parts are aligned to tolerances and tests installed units for fit, form, and function.
