Job summary

Textron offers a summer internship where you perform structural analysis in support of new design and production activities. You’ll analyze fleet aircraft and modifications, preparing reports for FAA compliance.

The role involves reviewing drawings, maintaining stress notes, and applying Finite Element methods on challenging problems. Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering degrees.

• Knowledge in Statics, Mechanics of Materials, and other related topics.

Responsibilities

• Review Engineering Drawings and Digital Data to ensure efficient load path and adequate structural strength and stiffness
• Keep detailed Stress Notes on design changes and production non-conformances
• Utilize Finite Element Software to solve complex structural problems
• Prepare Structural Reports in support of FAA compliance findings
