Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a reliable Sheet Metal Technician in Chattanooga, TN to perform basic airframe sheet metal operations, read blueprints, and apply fasteners and sealants. The role supports supervision of crews and ensures work meets FAA guidelines.

You will work from drawings, maintain shop equipment, and communicate in English. A high school diploma is required, Airframe & Powerplant license preferred, and valid driver’s license is ideal.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Experience with fastening systems and related procedures.
• Support supervising crews and organizing manpower when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations on airframes.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finishes.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Communicate effectively in English.
