You will assemble aircraft sheet metal structures including fuselage sections and flight control components, using hand and power tools and following Piper drawings and PPS. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and FAA requirements, ability to work overtime, and a collaborative approach to resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Sheet Metal Structural Assembler I: 3 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime.
• Follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft sheet metal structural assemblies including wing spars and fuselage sections.
• Drill, countersink, dimple, ream and chamfer holes using drills and related tools.
• Trim assemblies to fit, maintain gap tolerances and rivet edge distance requirements.
• Apply sealants on pressurized fuselage sections and joints.
• Operate routers and grinders for precision dimensions.
• Inspect and sign off own and teammates' work per Piper certifications.
