ProLog Inc. seeks an Aircraft Servicer to support critical Transient Alert services, ground handling, and airfield maintenance at Fort Campbell, KY. The role operates in a high-tempo, 24/7 military environment, ensuring safe and timely arrival, servicing, and departure of transient aircraft.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Aircraft Servicer performs critical Transient Alert (TA) services, aircraft ground handling, and minor airfield maintenance at Fort Campbell, KY. Operating in a high-tempo, 24/7 military airfield environment, the Aircraft Servicer ensures the safe, efficient, and timely arrival, servicing, and departure of transient military and civilian aircraft. All duties must be performed in strict compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Army Regulations (such as AR 95-2), and local Airfield Operations Manuals (AOM).

Key Responsibilities

1. Aircraft Arrival, Marshalling, and Departure Services

• Direct Ground Movement : Meet all incoming transient aircraft within five (5) minutes of notification. Safely escort aircraft to designated parking areas using "Follow‑Me" vehicles and direct aircrews using standardized FAA/military aviation hand and arm signals.
• Securing & Mooring : Immediately install wheel chocks upon parking. Install and remove landing gear safety pins, tie‑down straps, chains, or ropes in accordance with specific aircraft operator manuals, particularly during adverse weather warnings.
• Safety & Fire Guard : Perform fire guard duties during engine starts and run‑ups, manning appropriate fire extinguishers to mitigate hazard risks.
• Ground Power & Support: Install, operate, and remove Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), air start units, and power generators. Position and operate passenger staircase trucks as required (up to 16 hours/month).
• Minor Maintenance Support: Assist aircrews with basic servicing tasks, including obtaining engine and hydraulic oil samples upon request and servicing fluid levels.
• Deicing Operations: Perform aircraft deicing using specialized Government‑Furnished Property (GFP) deicing equipment during winter weather operations.
• Aircraft Towing: Prepare disabled or transient aircraft for towing by selecting and attaching appropriate tow bars based on aircraft weight, size, and vehicle towing capabilities.
• Inspections: Perform comprehensive visual inspections of parked aircraft for structural damage, tire issues, and active fluid leaks (POL).
• Personnel Transport: Operate a 12‑passenger contractor‑furnished van to transport flight crews, passengers, and baggage to and from Base Operations.

3. Airfield Inspections & Minor Maintenance

• Sweeper Services: Operate sweepers/vacuum trucks to keep runways, taxiways, parking aprons, and ramps completely free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
• Safety Inspections: Support daily airfield visual inspections (conducted at least once every 8 hours) checking runways, taxiways, hoverlanes, lighting, signage, and pavement conditions. Maintain continuous two‑way radio communication with the Air Traffic Control Tower.
• Minor Airfield Maintenance: Replace light bulbs on approach, runway, and taxiway lighting systems; fill pavement cracks; and check, test, and repaint static grounding markings.
• Wildlife Control: Deploy and activate propane cannons along runways in support of the Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) program and Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (WASH) plan.
• Emergency Response: Participate in monthly pre‑accident rehearsals (mock drills). Assist in ramp searches for overdue or missing aircraft. Report any observed airfield accidents or damage to Government property immediately.

4. Equipment, Vehicles, & Records Management

• Operator Maintenance: Conduct daily pre‑operational inspections on all assigned ground support equipment and vehicles. Properly document inspections and malfunctions using DA Form 2404.
• Inventory & Fuel Tracking: Assist in monthly and annual inventories of government‑furnished tools, materials, and fuel. Accurately record ground fuel issues using DA Form 3643.
• Compliance Documentation: Ensure all completed transient services, records, and forms are fully maintained, compiled, and turned over to the government on schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

• Required Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of documented flight line, aircraft ground handling, or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) equivalent experience.
• Flight Line Driving : Must successfully complete the CAAF Flight Line Driving program and maintain a flight line driving authorization badge. Annual refresher training is required.
• Communication : Must be able to read, write, speak, and clearly understand the English language. Must possess the ability to communicate professionally with co‑workers, military aircrews, and airfield management in person, via two‑way radio, or over telephone/email.

Certifications & Training

• Must be able to successfully complete the following federally mandated training programs post‑hire:
• iWATCH Training (within 10 days of starting performance)
• Level I OPSEC Awareness Training (within 10 days of starting performance, and annually thereafter)
• Information Assurance (IA) Training (if access to Government IT systems is required)
• Airfield Daily Inspection Training (IAW AR 95-2, provided by CAAF Airfield Management)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Critical Safety Role : Because this is an Aircraft Services Job designated as critical, the candidate must participate in and pass a pre‑employment and random, unannounced drug screening program.
• Background Screening: Must successfully pass an annual National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC III) background check to maintain unescorted installation access.
• Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing maintenance platforms/stairs, standing for long periods on concrete, and working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, snow, and ice).
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Must wear required company uniforms and full PPE, including safety boots, long pants, high‑visibility/reflective wear, and eye/hearing protection.
• Shift Schedule: Operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, rotating shifts, and recognized federal holidays.
