Job summary

Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, KY, is seeking a full-time Airport Rescue Firefighter to rapidly respond to aircraft emergencies, extinguish fires, rescue passengers, and provide medical assistance while following FAA regulations.

You'll operate ARFF equipment, participate in initial and recurrent training, and contribute to safety, customer service, and efficient airport operations. The shift schedule is 24 hours on, 48 hours off.

Qualifications

• CPAT required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be certified as Kentucky Professional Firefighter Basic II.
• Must be certified as Kentucky Emergency Medical Responder.

Responsibilities

• Respond to aircraft emergencies, extinguish fires, rescue passengers, and provide medical assistance.
• Operate ARFF apparatus and equipment.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and safety policies.
• Represent the airport professionally with customers and stakeholders.
• Support training and ongoing safety initiatives.
