  • Optimize aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and maintenance actions to minimize impact on flight schedule.
  • Provide oversight of inspections, repairs and modifications.
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections per Company and FAA standards.
  • Prepare annual aircraft maintenance budget including OPEX and CAPEX recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical resource and SME for the assigned aircraft type.
  • Review and ensure all aircraft records entries comply with Company and FAA requirements.
  • Develop maintenance work scopes, obtain proposals and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and industry relationships.
  • Serve as Maintenance POC on the after-hours call team.

The Aircraft Program Manager (APM) role is designed to enhance the overall management of the aircraft maintenance and technical support program and to serve as part of the growth and development plan for the function. The APM assumes ownership of an assigned aircraft which rotates between aircraft on an annual basis and serves as part of the aircraft management team. The APM is responsible for the administration of the maintenance program for the designated aircraft to ensure that it is maintained to the highest quality standards as described below but not limited to:

  • Optimize the aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and method of maintenance to minimize impact on the flight schedule.
  • Providing oversight of inspections repairs and modifications.
  • Perform maintenance preventive maintenance and inspections that conform to the standards established by the Company regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare annual aircraft maintenance budget to include OPEX and CAPEX recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert on the assigned aircraft type.
  • Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft records and related documentation are accurate and managed in accordance with Company and FAA requirements.
  • Develop maintenance work scopes obtain proposals and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and industry business relationships.
  • Serve as the Maintenance POC on the after-hours call team.

To be successful in this role the APM will be required to possess and/or develop knowledge skills and abilities in the following key areas:

  • Ability to effectively handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong avionics and systems expertise with supporting credentials.
  • NCATT Certification – Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) with related endorsements (Autonomous Navigation Systems Dependent Navigation Systems Onboard Communication & Safety Systems Radio Communication Systems)
  • Fully engaged with industry and aircraft technical advancements.
  • Advance technical training on aircraft operated by the Company i.e. FSI – Master Technician
  • Proficient with the use of technology and computer skills to include business applications and Computerized Maintenance Programs (CMP/AVTRAK).

Qualifications:
