STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Painters to join the growing team at flyExclusive’s world-class MRO facility in Kinston, North Carolina. If you are passionate about craftsmanship, aviation excellence, and working in a vibrant, coastal community, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

As an Aircraft Painter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the appearance and integrity of flyExclusive’s impressive fleet of private jets. You will be responsible for preparing, sanding, masking, and painting aircraft surfaces to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft and components for paint application, including sanding, cleaning, and masking.
• Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes according to precise specifications.
• Apply primers, topcoats, and protective coatings with industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Inspect surfaces after preparation and final finish for quality and conformity.
• Operate paint booths, sprayers, and other painting equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment according to OSHA and company standards.
• Accurately document all work performed and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate closely with other MRO teams, including maintenance and interiors, to ensure timely project completion.
• Perform touch-up work and minor repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional aircraft painting experience required.
• PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) required prior to start date.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience painting corporate or private jets.
• Experience working exclusively on Spirit Aerosystems or wide-body manufacturers not preferred unless mixed experience exists.
• Ability to work from technical drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with various paint systems, primers, and aircraft finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing flawless work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
