Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in St. Louis is hiring an Aircraft Painter III to prepare, paint and detail aircraft to strict quality standards.

You will work from a scissor lift, follow FAA paperwork requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced shop environment. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years in related paint processes; aircraft-industry experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years experience in related paint processes.
• Aircraft industry experience preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft under minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection for FAA paperwork and quality specs.
• Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lifts and paint sprayers.
• Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Use sealants and paint strippers, and follow safety procedures with PPE.
• Read blueprints and engineering documentation.
