Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation seeks an Aircraft Painter I to prepare, mask, sand, and prime aircraft surfaces for paint application. You will mix paints, apply glazing, and ensure interior protection while following safety and 5S protocols.

The role requires reading blueprints, one year of painting experience, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work various shifts. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of painting experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application.
• Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for final painting.
• Operate and maintain all types of preparation and priming equipment.
• Mix paints and primers.
• Perform leading edge sealant work in final detail.
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.
• Use PPE and protect aircraft interior (PTP).
• Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Comply with Paint shop standard practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
