Job description

Overview

Responsibilities

Responsible for the spray application of multiple aerospace paints on various substrates and product configurations, including the setup and application of primers and finish coats. Supporting responsibilities include masking, racking, turning, sanding operations, equipment maintenance, and paint mixing.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Ability to match or detect differences among colors, including shades and brightness.
• Ability to remain steady while moving or holding arms and hands in position.
• Ability to see details at close range.
• Fine motor skills to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects.
• Quick hand movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Locating application areas as per engineering planning documents to apply final paint coats.
2. Completing inspections to ensure parts meet engineering standards.
3. Applying topcoat/final application per engineering requirements.
4. Applying DYNOL as per planning requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of conventional high volume/low pressure (HVLP) paint spray equipment, including pressure, gravity, and siphon-fed variants, as well as conventional and airless pots, pumps, and guns.
• Experience in aircraft or auto body painting.
• Painting preparation skills including sanding and masking.
• Minimum of two years related experience or an equivalent technical certificate.

Additional Information

All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks. Most new hires are hired on 2nd shift.
