This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0100000, and is part of the 151 MXS located in Salt Lake City, Utah Air National Guard.

Requirements

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently members must be eligible for immediate membership. Contact a National Guard recruiter if unsure about eligibility.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components, making adjustments and settings per specifications, and skilled in using hand tools and test equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

  • WG-05: Experience with common hand tools performing repetitive mechanical repairs under supervision, demonstrating ability to perform routine duties.
  • WG-08: Experience using hand tools for mechanical repairs, removing/installing aircraft parts with guidance, following detailed instructions for routine repairs/modifications.
  • WG-10: Experience installing, adjusting, troubleshooting, and testing aircraft systems during overhaul or modification, coordinating work, scheduling maintenance, and instructing lower graded mechanics and personnel in disassembly/reassembly of aircraft components.
