This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TEMP-INDEF) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0324000 and is part of the 151 MXS located at Roland Wright ANG Base in SLC, UT with the Utah Air National Guard.
This vacancy is OPEN to National Guard members, and public applicants willing to join the Utah Air National Guard.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Have experience or training that has provided the candidate with sufficient knowledge to complete the work of this occupational series. Experience or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to lead other technicians engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series.
Have experience using common hand tools and making repetitive repairs. Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the simpler and routine duties of the trade. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
Have experience that demonstrates a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory and the makeup and operation of the various individual systems and their interrelationships. Experience using a small variety of test and measurement devices. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Have experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories. Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufacturers' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
