Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation is seeking qualified aviation maintenance personnel to support daily repair and manufacturing operations for multiple aircraft workloads at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. The role involves installing and testing major aircraft systems, performing flight line maintenance, and ensuring readiness for flight tests.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least two years of verifiable experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a background check which could include criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of start date.
  • Position may fall under EO 14042; vaccination status may be required.
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform post-assembly checkout and repair of overhauled aircraft to prepare for flight tests.
  • Identify malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
  • Perform engine removal/installation, jacking, leveling, and related tasks.
  • Read cockpit data and gauges and interpret instrument settings.
  • Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

General Description


Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.



Duties


  • Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components

  • Perform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc.

  • Perform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights.

  • Identify malfunctions and determines corrective action required

  • Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks

  • Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges

  • Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies

  • Other duties as assigned



Education/Experience Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems

  • Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources

  • Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date.

  • This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.

  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.

  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.

  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.

  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
