Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks skilled aircraft maintenance technicians to support daily repair and manufacturing operations for a range of military aircraft at Warner Robins, Georgia.

Candidates must be US citizens, able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine months, and pass background checks; a high school diploma and at least two years of verifiable experience are required; EO 14042 vaccination status may apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of recent verifiable experience.
  • Knowledge of parts, subsystems, and assemblies (e.g., ejection seats, shielding).
  • Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures and external power sources.
  • Ability to read data/settings for cockpit instruments and gauges.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must pass a background check (criminal history/credit check for government access).
  • Must have or obtain a Secret Clearance within 9 months of start date.
  • Position may fall under EO 14042 vaccination requirements.
  • Drug-free workplace with post-offer, pre-employment and random testing.

Responsibilities

  • Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final tests on major aircraft systems and components.
  • Perform flight line maintenance including testing and repairing airframe systems and components.
  • Perform post-assembly checkout and repair of overhauled/modified aircraft for flight tests.
  • Identify malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
  • Perform engine removal/installation, jacking, leveling, and routine tasks.
  • Read cockpit data and gauges.
  • Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

General Description

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.

Duties
  • Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components
  • Perform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc.
  • Perform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights.
  • Identify malfunctions and determines corrective action required
  • Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks
  • Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges
  • Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems
  • Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources
  • Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date.
  • This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
