Job summary

Cotulla Education's Aircraft Maintenance program seeks an energetic Instructor to guide aspiring technicians across our nationwide AIM campuses. You will deliver hands-on aircraft maintenance training, bridging theory and practice, and mentor students through FAA-aligned curricula.

Join a mission-driven team, work onsite at multiple campuses, and help students develop the skills to succeed in aviation maintenance careers with a student-first, safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary aircraft systems and repair practices.
  • Excellent communication with a student-first mindset.
  • Willingness to work outside scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver dynamic, hands-on instruction in aircraft maintenance.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment for student success.
  • Collaborate with instructors and academic leaders on FAA-aligned curriculum.
  • Keep the lab organized, safe, and stocked with maintained tools and equipment.
  • Manage grading, attendance tracking, and regulatory compliance with professionalism.
  • Mentor students, track progress, and address retention proactively.
  • Participate in professional development and instructor evaluations.
  • Attend faculty meetings and lead training sessions.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and instructor evaluations.
  • Support our mission by attending faculty meetings, leading training sessions, and completing education modules.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong grasp of contemporary aircraft systems and repair practices
  • Effective communication skills with a student-first mindset
  • Organized, tech-savvy, and ready to adapt in a compliance-driven environment
  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed
Preferred
  • Associate degree in a related field
  • Experience with CampusNexus or similar student management systems
