Job summary

Cotulla Education is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor to deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in aircraft maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate and 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience. Responsibilities include mentoring students, managing administrative duties, and collaborating with academic leaders to enhance the curriculum. This position offers both full-time and part-time options across our state-of-the-art campuses in the United States, providing a community-oriented environment focused on professional growth.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Strong grasp of contemporary aircraft systems and repair practices.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on instruction in aircraft maintenance.
  • Create an engaging classroom environment for students.
  • Mentor students and track their progress.

Aircraft Mechanic Instructor – Inspire the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals!
What You’ll Do
  • Deliver dynamic, hands‑on instruction in aircraft maintenance that bridges theory and practice.
  • Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment where students are empowered to succeed.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and academic leaders to continuously improve our FAA‑aligned curriculum.
  • Keep the lab organized, safe, and stocked with properly maintained tools and equipment.
  • Manage key administrative duties—think grading, attendance tracking, and regulatory compliance—with precision and professionalism.
  • Mentor students, track progress, and proactively address retention issues.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and instructor evaluations.
  • Support our mission by attending faculty meetings, leading training sessions, and completing education modules.
What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in aircraft maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong grasp of contemporary aircraft systems and repair practices
  • Effective communication skills with a student‑first mindset
  • Organized, tech‑savvy, and ready to adapt in a compliance‑driven environment
  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in a related field
  • Experience with CampusNexus or similar student management systems
