Job Description

Resicum International LLC is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic III (23023) personnel to support P-8A aircraft Organizational-Level Maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington.

The Aircraft Mechanic III is a senior-level aircraft maintenance technician responsible for leading maintenance teams and performing, supervising, and inspecting P-8A aircraft maintenance operations.

Mechanic III personnel provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics and support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and aircraft readiness requirements.

The position requires advanced technical knowledge of P-8A aircraft systems and the ability to resolve complex maintenance problems while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable technical data, maintenance procedures, technical directives, and NAMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams performing P-8A aircraft maintenance and inspections.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled P-8A maintenance.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinate mechanics.
  • Perform, supervise, and inspect maintenance performed by Mechanic I, II, and III personnel as authorized.
  • Maintain, repair, and modify P-8A aircraft structures, structural components, and engines.
  • Maintain and repair flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, mechanical components, and other assigned systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex P-8A aircraft discrepancies.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of P-8A airframe and powerplant systems.
  • Interpret P-8A technical publications, blueprints, manufacturer's manuals, and engineering data.
  • Perform and supervise aircraft structural and sheet-metal modifications and repairs.
  • Use aircraft-specific tools and test equipment.
  • Provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and Government customers.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout aircraft modification and maintenance efforts.
  • Prioritize maintenance workload to meet aircraft delivery and operational schedules.
  • Make required aircraft logbook and maintenance record entries.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
  • Support corrosion prevention and control requirements.
  • Participate in emergency drills and aircraft movement activities when directed.
  • Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series, applicable technical manuals, technical directives, and local instructions.
Specific P-8/P-8A Experience — REQUIRED
  • Must have extensive hands-on maintenance experience on P-8/P-8A aircraft.
  • Must have experience leading P-8/P-8A aircraft maintenance teams in an Organizational-Level Maintenance environment.
  • Must have experience performing, supervising, and inspecting scheduled and unscheduled P-8/P-8A maintenance.
  • Must have extensive experience troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, and modifying P-8/P-8A aircraft.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of P-8/P-8A airframe, structural, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and powerplant systems.
  • Must have experience interpreting P-8/P-8A technical publications, engineering data, blueprints, and technical directives.
  • Must have experience providing technical guidance to lower-level P-8/P-8A maintenance personnel.
  • Must be capable of inspecting work performed by subordinate P-8/P-8A mechanics.
  • Must have experience making P-8/P-8A aircraft logbook and maintenance record entries.
  • Generic senior aircraft mechanic experience on other aircraft platforms does not satisfy the specific P-8/P-8A experience requirement.
Requirements
  • Must possess a current U.S. Passport.
  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be eligible for required site access and CAC issuance.
  • Must possess advanced aircraft maintenance experience appropriate to the Mechanic III skill level.
  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting, repair procedures, and component replacement.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet-metal modification, and structural repair.
  • Must possess advanced knowledge of aircraft airframe and powerplant systems.
  • Must be capable of diagnosing and resolving complex aircraft maintenance problems.
  • Must possess detailed knowledge of aircraft-specific tools and test equipment.
  • Must be capable of leading aircraft maintenance teams and providing technical guidance to subordinate personnel.
  • Must be capable of inspecting aircraft maintenance performed by lower-level mechanics.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Must be capable of interpreting technical data, blueprints, manufacturer's manuals, and applicable maintenance publications.
  • Must be capable of making accurate aircraft logbook and maintenance record entries.
  • Must maintain all required aircraft maintenance qualifications and certifications.
  • Qualifications may include CDI/CDQAR, Plane Captain/Plane Handler, Tire and Wheel, Hydraulic Contamination, Vibration Analysis, APU/Engine Operator, Ordnance, Forklift, and other qualifications applicable to assigned duties.
