Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Mechanic III Ordnance/Egress at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA. The role involves performing and documenting ordnance handling and egress maintenance, and supervising subordinate mechanics.

CDI/QASO certifications are required and you will apply technical guidance on maintenance operations on the supported airframe. The candidate must be able to interpret blueprints or manuals and work with specialized tools to

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Navy AO or Egress/PR programs desirable.
• Active DoD security clearance required (DOW).
• 5+ years maintaining fighter jets at organizational, intermediate or depot level.
• 5+ years with F-18E/F aircraft preferred.
• 5+ years Navy AO or Egress/Maintenance skill set desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
• Repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems.
• Determines equipment malfunctions using technical data and restores operation.
• Provides guidance to junior technicians during maintenance efforts.
• Logs entries in aircraft records and supports scheduling to meet deliveries.
• Offers technical support to engineers and customers as needed.
• Applies knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to troubleshoot issues.

Global Logistics Support Services, (GLSS), an S3 Inc. company, has an immediate opening for Aircraft Mechanic III Ordnance/Egress to join our team at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA.

These Aircraft Mechanics are responsible for performing and documenting ordnance handling and egress maintenance actions. Requires CDI/QASO certifications. Applies technical experience to supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported. Capable of performing, supervising and inspecting the duties of Mechanic Is, IIs and IIIs.

Responsibilities:

• A person in this position maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.

• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.

• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.

• This worker also applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

• Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.

• A thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.

• A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.

• Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike, must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.

• This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.

• Responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Graduate of Navy Aircraft Ordnance (AO) or Egress/Maintenance (PR) Program highly desirable.

• An active DOW Secret Security Clearance.

• Five or more years of experience maintaining fighter jet aircraft at the organizational, intermediate or depot level.

• Five or more years of experience maintaining F-18E/F aircraft is highly desirable.

• Five or more years of experience as a Navy Aircraft Ordnance (AO) or Egress/Maintenance (PR) Skill Set is highly desirable.
