SUMMARY:
Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Aircraft Mechanic II positions at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position supports the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). This position is contingent upon contract award.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of airframes and avionics systems.
- Uphold documentation standards, ensuring complete and updated aircraft maintenance records.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex aircraft-related tasks.
- Prioritize workload to ensure organized and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain and repair various aircraft components, including engines.
- Apply information from manuals, service bulletins, and technical data.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations.
- Perform periodic inspections as determined by OEM and local policy.
- Service and maintain aircraft appearance.
- Create, update, and close maintenance records of work performed.
- This role may require FAA licensing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three (3) years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with specialized testing equipment.
- Intermediate knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting.
- Advanced mechanical skills with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory.
- Familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Valid state driver’s license and driving privileges.
