SUMMARY:

Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Aircraft Mechanic II positions at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position supports the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). This position is contingent upon contract award.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of airframes and avionics systems.
2. Uphold documentation standards, ensuring complete and updated aircraft maintenance records.
3. Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex aircraft-related tasks.
4. Prioritize workload to ensure organized and timely completion of projects.
5. Maintain and repair various aircraft components, including engines.
6. Apply information from manuals, service bulletins, and technical data.
7. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations.
8. Perform periodic inspections as determined by OEM and local policy.
9. Service and maintain aircraft appearance.
10. Create, update, and close maintenance records of work performed.
11. This role may require FAA licensing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least three (3) years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Proficiency with specialized testing equipment.
4. Intermediate knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
5. Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting.
6. Advanced mechanical skills with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
7. Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

1. In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
2. Basic understanding of electrical theory.
3. Familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team.
5. Valid state driver’s license and driving privileges.
