Job description

SUMMARY:

Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Aircraft Mechanic II positions at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). This position is contingent upon contract award.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of airframes, and avionics systems

• Uphold documentation standards, ensuring complete and updated aircraft maintenance records

• Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex, aircraft-related tasks

• Effectively prioritize workload, ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects

• Maintaining and repairing various aircraft components, including engines,

• Understanding and applying information from manuals, service bulletins, and technical data

• Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations

• Perform periodic inspections on devices as determined by the OEM and local policy

• Perform miscellaneous duties to service and maintain aircraft appearance

• Create, update and close maintenance records of the work performed

• This worker may be required to be licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of four (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft maintenance

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency with specialized testing equipment

• Intermediate knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures

• Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting

• Advanced mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment

• Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair

• A foundational understanding of electrical theory

• Extensive familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Obtain/maintain a valid state driver’s license and installation driving privileges
