Job summary

Textron Systems ATAC in California is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform maintenance on aircraft and support flight line operations at Pt. Mugu.

You will train junior mechanics, manage maintenance programs, and coordinate detachment requirements under supervision. The role requires an A&P certification or equivalent military maintenance experience, ability to troubleshoot complex systems, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs and work at height.

Qualifications

• A&P certification or military maintenance experience.
• Capable of unsupervised complex maintenance and leading programs.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb aircraft and stand long periods.
• Veteran or current military maintenance background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft per company commitments and maintenance programs.
• Train Apprentices and oversee detachment maintenance actions.
• Manage assigned maintenance programs and detachment coordination.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and perform required inspections.
• Prioritize workload to meet schedules and safety standards.
• Lead by example and develop maintenance team.
