Job summary

Textron Systems ATAC is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (2nd shift) to perform maintenance on ATAC aircraft and support launch and recovery flight line operations at permanent and detachment sites. Responsibilities include maintenance on one aircraft type, training personnel, and coordinating detachment needs with Crew Chiefs.

The role requires A&P certification or 5+ years of military aircraft maintenance equivalency, ability to perform 100-hour and phase inspections, and capable of lifting 50

Qualifications

• A&P certification or equivalent military maintenance experience (5+ years).
• Proficient in troubleshooting aircraft structures, landing gear, and flight controls.
• Experience performing 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, or calendar inspections.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing into aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance actions on ATAC aircraft and support flight line operations.
• Proficient on one aircraft type/model and assist other types/models.
• Train maintenance personnel and manage assigned maintenance programs.
• Coordinate detachment requirements with Crew Chiefs as needed.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using technical manuals and blueprints.
• Prioritize workload to meet schedules and safety standards.
• Assist with detachment leadership qualifications and program management.
