Qualifications

Position: Aircraft Mechanic I

The Aircraft Mechanic I reports to the Lead Mechanic and performs work under FARs and a Part 145 Repair Station supporting customer flight operations, maintenance, repairs, and modifications at the Aviation Operations Center (AOC) at Alliance Airport, Fort Worth, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures and components.
  2. Maintain accurate aircraft logs and release aircraft for service.
  3. Diagnose malfunctions using technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems.
  4. Lead or assist in complex projects, ensuring schedule adherence.
  5. Travel up to 50% to various locations as required.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED; technical trade school, military experience, or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate required.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an A&P mechanic, with at least 3 years on specific aircraft such as Cessna 206/210, King Air, Challenger, Citation, Bell 407/412, or MD-500 helicopters.
  • Recent experience (within last 12 months) in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of FARs and troubleshooting procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft structural modifications and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Owns necessary hand tools for A&P duties.
  • Ability to obtain a DOJ Security Clearance.
  • Valid US Passport and vaccinations for international travel.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in aircraft component troubleshooting and repair.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with rotor and propeller track and balance.
  • Familiarity with technical publications.
  • Ability to lead teams on complex tasks.
  • Ability to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
Physical and Environmental Demands:

Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work environment includes hangar conditions and outdoor exposure, with appropriate PPE required for hazards.
