Job summary

Scires is seeking a skilled avionics technician to support the Special Communication Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division at NAWCAD WOLF. You will modify airframes to integrate C5ISR systems, route and install avionics wire-harnesses, and modify secure airborne relay and mission equipment. A&P license is preferred, and a U.S.

security clearance may be required. The position involves hands-on installation and integration tasks on diverse airframes, with travel and stringent compliance to government

Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on experience in modifying airframes to accept C5ISR systems.
• Experience routing and installing complex avionics wire-harnesses.
• Experience modifying secure airborne communication relays, electronic warfare systems, or mission equipment.
• Familiarity with airframes such as H-60, V-22, H-53, C-130, F/A-18, E-2, King Air, or P-8A.
• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is preferred.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $63,150.00/Yr. - USD $105,200.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Requirements

• At least two years of hands-on experience in the following areas:
  • Modifying airframes to accept complex Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems
  • Routing and installation of complex avionics wire-harnesses
  • Modification of secure airborne communication relays, electronic warfare systems, or mission equipment
  • Relevant experiencewith one or more of the following airframes: H-60 Black Hawk or Seahawk variants (MH-60M, MH-60R, MH-60S); V-22 Osprey (CV-22 and/or MV-22); H-53 Stallion series (MH-53, CH-53); C-130 Hercules or Hercules variants (AC-130, MC-130); F/A-18 Hornet or Super Hornet; E-2C/D Hawkeye; King Air or C-12 Huron variants; P-8A Poseidon

Desired Skills

• Former Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, or Navy personnel who held the following occupational codes, as applicable to service branch:
  • USAF: 2A2X1, 2A6X6, 2A7X3
  • Army: 15Y, 15G
  • Marine Corps:6400 series. MOS 6491 is preferred.
  • Navy: AT, AM, AE
• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
