Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies in Moses Lake, WA is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul to ensure airworthiness. You will read manuals, service bulletins, and specifications, and work on landing gear, flight controls, engines, hydraulics, and air conditioning systems.

The role requires high school or equivalent, FAA Airframe or Powerplant license preferred, and the ability to travel and lift up to 50 pounds. DOT drug testing applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance work to service and overhaul aircraft.

  • Read and interpret manuals and diagrams to determine repair methods.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and document work progress.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas and clock into jobs accurately.

Job description

The Aircraft Mechanicperforms maintenance to service, repair, and overhaulaircrafttoensure airworthiness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of theaircraftand assigned work area.
  • Repair,modify,replace,or otherwise perform routineand non-routineaircraftmaintenance work.
  • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins,drawings,and other specifications todeterminefeasibility and method of repair,replacement,or modification.
  • Rig and operational testall flight control surfaces includingbut not limited to landinggear systems and engine systems.
  • Has been involved in troubleshootinglanding gear, flight control, engines, hydraulic and air-conditioningsystems.
  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
  • Complete job assignmentsin a timely manner.
  • Complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading.
  • Help with general clean-up of work area.
  • Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Effective andappropriate conductwith coworkers.
  • Other duties,as assigned.

Summary ofEducation, Experience& Certification

High School education orequivalent.Minimumtwo(2)yearsof related commercial/militaryaircraftexperience,or equivalent combination of education and experience.FAA Airframe or AirframeandPowerplant license preferred.

This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents .
  • Must have knowledge of fundamental maintenance operations and practices and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required .
  • May be required to move or lift up to 5 0 pounds.
  • Ability to travel asrequired.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours , as required .
  • Able tocomply withDOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
  • Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
  • Able to reach overhead.
  • Normal or corrected vision (requiredto perform exacting tasks).
  • Full range of motion with both hands.
  • Ability towork in a stooping, kneeling,orstanding position,and in cramped areas.

Physical Requirements .

  • Able tocomply withDOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
  • Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds withoutassistanceand ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds withassistance.
  • Able to reach overhead.
  • Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.
  • Normal or corrected vision (requiredto perform exacting tasks).
  • Full range of motion with both hands.
  • Ability to work in a stooping,kneelingor standing position and in cramped areas.

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $56,000.00 - $77,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
