A leading logistics support provider is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to join their team in Ft. Johnson, LA. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft structures and components, while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will have experience with mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work various shifts.
Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS), an S³ Inc. company, has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Mechanic I to support ongoing projects at Ft. Johnson, LA.
Military experience is a plus.
Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components, including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
