Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS), an Akima company, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MH-6M/MH-47G/MH-60M rotary wing aircraft at Fort Campbell North, KY. The role entails hands-on maintenance, inspections, and flight line support.

Qualified candidates will have U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain Secret clearance, own tools, and at least 6 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with MH-60/MH-47 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance is required.
• Must own tools/toolbox.
• Minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance.
• Respirator physical may be required for confined-space operations.
• Basic physical may be required to support flight line movement and equipment operation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb on aircraft and work around them.
• Experience on MH-6/MH-47/MH-60s is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces components on aircraft during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Performs repairs, inspections, and logs work in the electronic logbook/phase book.
• Performs power-on checks and aircraft rigging; supports post-maintenance flight line operations.
• Uses hand, calibrated, and aircraft special tools as required.
• Disassembles, washes, inspects, repairs, and reassembles phase aircraft.
• Participates in the aircraft tow team for movement.

Job description

This Aircraft Mechanic I supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MH-6M/MH-47G/MH-60M rotary wing aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Mechanic adjusts, repairs, or replaces components on aircraft that are in scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• This mechanic performs repairs and inspections and enters work in the electronic logbook/phase book.
• Will perform power-on checks, aircraft rigging, and support post-maintenance flight line operations.
• Will be required to use hand tools, calibrated tools, and aircraft special tools.
• Will be required disassemble, wash, inspect, repair, and reassemble phase aircraft.
• Will be required to be part of the aircraft tow team moving aircraft.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must have own tools/toolbox.
• Must have a minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance.
• May be required to pass a respirator physical to perform confined-space operations.
• Will be required to pass a basic physical to support aircraft movement, operate equipment, or operate a vehicle on the flight line.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb on aircraft, use maintenance stands, and be able to work in/on/around the aircraft.
• Experience on MH-6/MH-47/MH-60s is desired.
