Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions is seeking a seasoned leader to manage the SOATB/SIMO support team of 106 personnel at Fort Campbell North. You will coordinate aircraft maintenance, flight schedules, and test support with Lockheed Martin and government partners, ensuring adequate on-site and TDY resources for missions.

You will direct supervisors and staff, create maintenance status reports for leadership, and participate in hiring and performance decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in aviation maintenance with five years in leadership
• U.S. citizen
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain
• Prior production control experience with multiple MDS aircraft
• Experience with SOATB operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of production control applications on ACN, Hydra, and HIVE

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aircraft maintenance, flight schedules, and test support requirements with Lockheed Martin and government representatives for 3 MDS aircraft
• Ensure MDS supervisors provide aircraft and personnel to support training and testing missions
• Direct a team of 106 people, with 3 aircraft maintenance supervisors, 11 maintenance test pilots, and 3 ground support equipment mechanics
• Coordinate with the ATS passback hangar manager for scheduled and unscheduled support for 34 assigned aircraft
• Create and brief multiple reports on SOATB aircraft maintenance status to government, LM, and ATS leadership
• Make personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions of subordinates
• Monitor and approve timekeeping and training per established procedures and systems

Job description

Manager of the Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) SOATB/SIMO support team consisting of 106 people. Direct report to the ATS site lead.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Lockheed Martin (LM) and government representatives to coordinate aircraft maintenance, flight schedules, and test support requirements for 3 MDS aircraft. Responsible for coordinating on-site and TDY support for SOATB and SIMO missions.
• Ensures that the MDS supervisors are providing aircraft and personnel to support both the training and testing missions.
• Ability to lead and direct a team of 106 people in the performance of assigned duties. Direct supervisor for 3 aircraft maintenance supervisors, 11 maintenance test pilots, and 3 ground support equipment mechanics.
• Coordinates with the ATS passback hangar manager for scheduled and unscheduled support for 34 assigned aircraft.
• Responsible for creating and briefing multiple reports on SOATB aircraft maintenance status to government, LM, and ATS leadership.
• Directly involved in personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions of subordinate employees.
• Monitors and approves timekeeping and training based on established procedures and applications.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in aviation maintenance with five years leadership experience.
• Prior production control experience with multiple MDS aircraft is required.
• Experience with and knowledge of SOATB operations required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adept at briefing and presenting information and reports to mixed audiences.
• Well versed with Microsoft Office products.
• Solid knowledge of production control applications on ACN, Hydra, and HIVE.
