Job summary

Epic Aircraft in Bend, Oregon is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Assistant to support Epic Flight Support's Repair Station. You will assist lead mechanics with routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning, gaining hands-on experience in aviation maintenance and aircraft surfaces.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork. Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for FAA-related growth after on-the-job

Qualifications

• Previous automotive, mechanical, or aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• New A&P graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics with routine aircraft inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs by following written procedures and verbal instructions
• Remove, clean, inspect, and replace aircraft components under the direction of experienced technicians
• Clean, polish, and detail aircraft interiors and exteriors to maintain presentation standards
• Vacuum aircraft floors, clean windows, wipe down interior surfaces, and sanitize cockpits and passenger areas
• Follow safety procedures including Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Tool Control, and OSHA standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout each shift
• Remove trash and assist with general shop organization and housekeeping
• Support other departments and perform additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of EpicFlight Support, the Aircraft Mechanic Assistant will assist in any area of Epic Flight Support's Repair Station as needed. This includes assisting lead mechanics in performing routine maintenance tasks, in addition to shop floor upkeep, organization andcleaning. May be tasked with duties such as cleaning and polishing interior and exterior aircraft surfaces. This includescleaning aircraft parts, equipment, or surfaces using brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants and vacuums. Employment with Epic Flight Support is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as participating in subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a full work shift
• Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with occasional assistance for heavier items
• Manual dexterity to safely operate hand and power tools and perform detailed mechanical tasks
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, dust, and around aircraft, machinery, and chemicals commonly found in a maintenance facility
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and respirators when required
• Ability to distinguish colors and identify small components, labels, and markings as needed for maintenance tasks

Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Starting Pay: $20.00-22.00/hour
