NorthPoint Aviation Technician Job Description

NorthPoint Aviation is invested in growing our employees and is always looking for Licensed Airframe and Powerplant technicians to join our team. We are willing to train newly licensed personnel for the duties listed below. The pay range is $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on the shop order efficiently and in accordance with the Repair Station specifications.
  • Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair systems including engine, propeller, electrical, control systems, wheels, brakes, interior, etc.
  • Communicate directly with senior personnel to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide an estimate of time required for repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer and Repair Station specifications.
Qualifications
  • Airframe and Power Plant License required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must complete a pre-employment DOT drug test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dexterity and steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
