Job description

Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic for a 09-month contract (Temp to Perm) position with one of the largest Aerospace and Defense companies in the US, located in Indianapolis, IN. The expected pay range is $27.00/hr - $39.00/hr.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing assembly, disassembly, repairs, and modifications on airframes, engines, and aircraft systems to meet FAA and company standards.
  • Conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting, and system checkouts.
  • Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Leading and training team members as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with jet, turboprop, piston aircraft maintenance, or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
  • Experience working in MRO environments and proficiency with pneumatic, power, and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, and aircraft principles.
