Department: Engineering | University Airport Repair Station
Provides aircraft maintenance services to university-based and transient aircraft; maintains, repairs, and adjusts aircraft engines and components; maintains and repairs aircraft frames, flight controls, landing gear, flight instrument systems, and related components; performs airframe and engine inspections; maintains and calibrates tools and equipment.
Additional Information: Work schedule may vary based on operational needs. This is a DOT safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment drug testing.
Minimum Education: Per Civil Service Specs or equivalent experience/education.
Experience: Required: FAA Airframe and Powerplant mechanic license; valid driver's license; DOT drug testing compliance. Desired: FAA Inspection Authorization; knowledge of safety practices; skills in mechanics, ground equipment operation, aircraft operation; understanding of aircraft systems; mathematical skills; reading comprehension; teamwork; dexterity.
Salary Range: $24.95 - $37.43, based on credentials, internal equity, and approval.
