Job summary

JSX is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet by performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in full compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. You will support maintenance in the hangar and ensure the fleet remains flight-ready at all times.

You will log all maintenance activities in Traxxall, perform thorough inspections, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence, safety, and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds.
• DOT/FAA drug and alcohol screenings required.
• Valid driver’s license and FAA A&P certificate required.
• Proficiency operating forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Flight Inspections: daily checks to ensure all systems are operational.
• Post-Flight Inspections: evaluate and address wear or issues after flights.
• Maintenance Logging: document activities in Traxxall with proper sign-off.
• Hangar Maintenance: keep the hangar clean, organized, and safe.

About the Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer maintenance manuals. Your work directly supports our mission to provide safe and efficient air travel while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

A Day in the Life

Your day will be dynamic and hands-on, centered around ensuring every aircraft is flight-ready and impeccably maintained.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Pre-Flight Inspections: Start your day by "waking up" the aircraft, conducting thorough pre-flight checks to ensure all systems are fully operational before takeoff.
• Post-Flight Inspections: After each flight, you will perform detailed post-flight evaluations to identify and address any issues or wear that may have occurred.
• Maintenance Logging: All maintenance activities -whether scheduled or unscheduled- are documented in Traxxall and properly signed off in aircraft logbooks, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
• Hangar Maintenance: You'll help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the hangar.

Required Experience

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds
• Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.
• Available to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with the DOT and FAA guidelines.
• Ability to operate forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, etc.
• Ability to taxi and engine run an airplane.
• Must procure own tool set.

Preferred Experience

• Prior aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience working with AMM, IBC, FIM, etc. for troubleshooting references.

Skills, Licenses, & Certifications

• Current and valid Driver’s license required.
• Current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.
• Ability to operate in time critical situation with strong attention to detail.
