Job summary

JSX is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Burbank, CA to ensure safety, reliability, and performance of our aircraft fleet. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in full FAA-compliant accordance with manuals and company policies, supporting safe, efficient air travel.

Your day is hands-on and dynamic, with responsibilities spanning pre-flight checks, post-flight evaluations, logbook documentation, and hangar upkeep.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged standing.
  • Available to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings per DOT and FAA guidelines.
  • Ability to operate forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, etc.
  • Ability to taxi and engine run an airplane.
  • Must procure own tool set.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Flight Inspections: Start your day by waking up the aircraft, conducting thorough pre-flight checks to ensure all systems are fully operational before takeoff.
  • Post-Flight Inspections: After each flight, you will perform detailed post-flight evaluations to identify and address any issues or wear.
  • Maintenance Logging: All maintenance activities whether scheduled or unscheduled are documented in Traxxall and properly signed off in aircraft logbooks, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
  • Hangar Maintenance: You’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the hangar.

About the Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer maintenance manuals. Your work directly supports our mission to provide safe and efficient air travel while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

A Day in the Life

Your day will be dynamic and hands-on, centered around ensuring every aircraft is flight-ready and impeccably maintained. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Pre-Flight Inspections: Start your day by waking up the aircraft, conducting thorough pre-flight checks to ensure all systems are fully operational before takeoff.

Required Experience
  • High school diploma/GED

Preferred Experience
  • Prior aircraft maintenance experience.

  • Experience working with AMM, IBC, FIM, etc. for troubleshooting references.

Skills, Licenses, & Certifications
  • Current and valid Drivers license required.

  • Current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.

  • Ability to operate in time critical situation with strong attention to detail.
