Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Technician Team Lead (Weekend Nights) in GAC St. Louis

Unique Skills:

Gulfstream large cabin experience preferred. Must be willing to work 5th shift (weekend nights) - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6:00pm-6:30am.

The compensation range for this role is $47.73 - $55.68 per hour.

Final compensation will be determined by factors including qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. 10 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 4 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required.

Position Purpose: To plan and coordinate aircraft maintenance activities, including repair, replacement, and modification of aircraft components, ensuring proper operation. Provide work directions to technicians performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  2. Lead repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of aircraft components including airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
  3. Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure compliance with FAA and internal inspection and documentation requirements.
  4. Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and related paperwork promptly.
  5. Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  6. Properly tag customer property and store aircraft components securely.
  7. Follow standard procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  8. Operate and oversee special support equipment used in major component removal and installation.
  9. Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.

Additional Functions:

  1. Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean work areas.
  2. Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
  3. Coordinate aircraft movements as required.
  4. Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, manuals, and company policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  1. Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
  2. Proficiency with technical reference materials (manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, etc.).
  3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
