Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Florida is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to oversee maintenance and safety of our fleet, focusing on Bell 407 airframes. This is a full-time position located near Yulee/Jacksonville area. The role includes a starting salary range and a $12,500 sign-on bonus with an annual IA stipend of $2,080.

The AMT will perform mechanical inspections, repairs, and maintain records per FAA requirements, ensuring timely, high-quality patient transport services.

Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience.
• Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance with at least six months in last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State-issued Driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• Must live within an hour of base.
• Must be able to pass FAA drug/alcohol testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document part expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and operations team.

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Must live within an hour of base
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
• Related experience under CFR Part 135
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
