Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Seminole, TX, is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of our fleet, primarily supporting Bell 407 airframes. The role ensures timely, high-quality transport services for patients.

Responsibilities include mechanical inspections, inventory management, and meticulous FAA paperwork while maintaining a safe work environment and coordinating across departments and with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience required.
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with at least six months in last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
• Valid State driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
• Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance records and planning.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be compliant with FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to lift/push 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks and update equipment tracking logs; place replacement requests and document expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and ensure security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use effective communication to coordinate between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively with allied health, public safety personnel, AMTs and operations team.

• Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually

Full-Time Opportunity in Texas

We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bell 407 Maintenance experience
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
• Related experience under CFR Part 135
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
