Job summary

Global Medical Response (Med-Trans) seeks a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain Bell 407 and EC135 aircraft, ensuring safety and timely patient transport. You will perform aircraft maintenance, inventory control, and diligent documentation, collaborating with flight crews and support teams.

Qualified candidates have A&P license, 3+ years turbine helicopter experience, and a flexible schedule, including on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • Bell 407 and EC135 maintenance experience required.
  • Three (3) years turbine helicopter maintenance with at least six months in last 24 months.
  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid State driver's license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
  • EMS systems, aircraft maintenance records and planning experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Must be compliant with FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, repairs, and provide updates to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and security standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use effective communication to coordinate between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and the operations team.

  • Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually

We're hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 and EC135 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bell 407 and/or EC135 Maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Ability to work aflexible scheduleincluding overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
