Job summary

Med-Trans, a part of Global Medical Response, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to ensure the safety and maintenance of our fleet, with focus on the Bell 407 airframe. This full-time role requires strict adherence to FAA regulations and rapid, high-quality patient transport support.

The candidate must have 3+ years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, an A&P license, and be able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Qualifications

  • Bell 407 maintenance experience is required.
  • Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance with at least six months in the last 24 months.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid State driver’s license.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
  • Must live within an hour of base.
  • Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information, and adhere to policies and security standards.
  • Sustain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use communication methods to coordinate between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel and operations team.

We’re hiring anAircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bell 407 maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Must live within an hour of base
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
