Job summary

Med-Trans in Watford City, ND is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to oversee maintenance and safety of our fleet. The AMT will support our Bell 407 airframe and ensure timely, high-quality patient transport services.

Starting compensation includes a geo-modified base and incentives. The role requires 3+ years turbine helicopter maintenance, an A&P license, and the ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule with strict FAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years turbine helicopter maintenance experience, including recent activity within last 24 months.
• Bell 407 maintenance experience or equivalent required.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid state Driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
• EMS and aircraft maintenance records experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• FAA drug and alcohol testing program compliance.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs+.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, repairs, and provide status updates.
• Manage inventory checks; update equipment tracking; place replacement requests; document expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information; adhere to policies and information security standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors and team members for efficient operations.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and operations staff.

• Starting Salary: $84,810 - $122,937 annually (including 30% geo modifier)
• IA Stipend 2,080
• Sign-On Bonus 12,500

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience or equivalent
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work aflexible scheduleincluding overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
• Related experience under CFR Part 135
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
