Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for our Statesville, NC facility. The role involves mechanical work on aircraft, component removal and installation, and troubleshooting across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will support inspections, aircraft movement, and maintain shop tools and equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts; requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an Airframe and Powerplant license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant License required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Perform engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Assist in aircraft movement and runs.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Communicate any issues to Lead Mechanic; document work progression.
