Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Conroe, TX is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform general mechanical tasks, diagnose aircraft system issues, replace parts, and conduct inspections on civilian aircraft.

Qualifications

Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred.
0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
These technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects
Technicians require close supervision of general maintenance tasks
AMT IV requires 6+ years of experience and senior expertise may be required

Responsibilities

Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
Removal and installation of panels and components.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
De-fueling aircraft
Engine removal/installations
Operating ground support equipment
Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
Effectively and clearly communicate in English
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
