West Star Aviation Inc. in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site role.

You will perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, support maintenance and tool upkeep, and communicate effectively in English. AMT levels I–IV require licenses and growing experience; the position offers an hourly rate of $30–$46 with potential bonuses, 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license is preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
• These technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects.
• Technicians require close supervision of general maintenance tasks.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance.
• Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
• These technicians have considerable knowledge of the job and general maintenance aspects.
• 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance.
• Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
• These technicians have full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
• Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
• 6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance.
• Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms.
• Subject matter expert in all areas of the job

• Must have reliable transportation to get to work.

• Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
• Climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas

• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
• Work with others in a professional manner.
• Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
• May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues
• De-fueling aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operating ground support equipment
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
