Job summary

Contour Airlines is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Merced, CA to perform routine and non-routine maintenance on our fleet in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.

You will read maintenance manuals, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with technicians, pilots, and regulatory agencies to ensure safe and timely return to service.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; English proficiency essential.
• Strong ability to read and interpret FAA regulations and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read and utilize blueprints, manuals, ATA codes, and service bulletins to troubleshoot and complete work.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations per FAA and company standards.
• Inspect aircraft systems (hydraulics, de-icing, landing gear) for leaks, cracks, and defects.
• Document procedures, discrepancies, and corrective actions in maintenance logs per FAA requirements.
• Run diagnostics, interpret results, and implement corrective actions.
• Safely operate power and hand tools and coordinate with team to ensure timely return to service.
