Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Chicago, IL. The role involves performing mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and maintenance on sophisticated civilian aircraft in a busy hangar environment.

You will work with a team to ensure safety and airworthiness, with shifts including nights and weekends. Benefits start immediately, including medical, dental, 401(k) match, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• A valid driver’s license and/or passport is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• Assist with engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Communicate progress and issues to Lead Mechanic.
