Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chicago is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to service aviation systems, perform inspections, and work on engine and components. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, replace parts, and support ground operations to ensure airworthiness.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and an A&P license, with willingness to work rotating shifts and travel-ready credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• Valid driver's license for airline travel and/or passport ideal.
• Team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of any problem areas and provide detailed work progression reports.
• Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
