Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Seattle, WA. The role involves mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and servicing sophisticated civilian aircraft, with potential night/weekend shifts and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You’ll work under supervision with opportunities for advancement, benefits start on day one, and a compensation package that includes health coverage, 401(k) match, and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.
• We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are common.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of any problems and provide a detailed report of work progression.
