Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical tasks, part removal/installation, and troubleshooting on sophisticated civilian aircraft.

The role involves inspection, maintenance, and operation of ground support equipment in a fast-paced environment at our Minneapolis hangar. Qualified applicants have AMT experience, airframe or powerplant credentials, and the ability to navigate maintenance databases and electronic training systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license for airline travel is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license is preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; 2–4 years for AMT II; 4–6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system or component issues.
• Defuel aircraft and conduct engine removals/ installations as needed.
• Operate ground support equipment and inspect aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
