Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic at Mayport, FL to perform repairs on aircraft following orders from higher-grade technicians. You will remove, clean, reinstall, or replace defective parts such as gaskets, fittings, and actuators; adjust cables and seats; obtain standard parts via manuals; and service engines to keep aircraft safe and airworthy.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 3 years of related experience or an A&P license equivalency, and the ability to obtain/maintain

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Three (3) years’ actual and recent related experience in the aircraft field.
• An A&P license shall be considered equivalent to three (3) years’ experience.
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Position may require travel.
• US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Responsibilities

• Mends aircraft following orders from higher grade workers, removing, cleaning, reinstaling or replacing defective parts and accessories.
• Sources standard parts by referring to manuals and by comparing with samples, including gaskets, fittings and wiring.
• Services engines and aircraft components at line station to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
